The mighty White House has joined forces with one of the South's finest and longest running record labels, Velocity Recordings.

Starting this September The White House will be sponsoring Club Velocity and Bandorama shows at the Rising Sun Arts Centre in Reading, Berks aswell as passing on recordings of all White House bands to be considered by none other than the man with the golden ears and all the contacts, Mr Sid Siddle. In return the lovely people at Velocity Recordings will be spreading the word about White House Studios to anyone who'll listen and pointing all the hot new bands in the direction of the White House.

Aluminum Babe are still finalising their next European tour in November. They will be playing Club Velocity promoted events on Friday November 8th at the 229 Great Portland Street, London and November Saturday 8th. Ok Tokyo (recent Fresh Meat winners-Zane Lowe/Radio 1) headline both shows. These shows both will be very tasty!! Before The Babe come to Europe they have been asked to play 6 Degrees of September in BANGKOK in Thailand on September 27th! This is the first time any of our bands have played Thailand! Excitement all round.

Along The Line Of Ruin They are being let out of Wales this Saturday (August 9th) to play Club Velocity at Plugnplay Reading. They are claiming they are coming to kill us all!!!

Once called The Engima Project. The four piece actually started out as far back as 2002. They were all about 12. They are still all under 19. November 2007 they became Tripwires, got management by the same company that gave the world the Spice Girls and X Factor. They are now not only one of the best forward thinking local bands around, they should be easily the next local band to step up to the next level. This is a rare(ish) Reading show-as they are now all students either studying at Bristol, Bath or Cardiff. This is a band taht you would be (very) stupid to miss.

Currently are based in Newbury, but will be moving to Reading in July. The Wookies are a really hard band to describe. They used to a tad too progressive rock. You know the sort of band who think growing a wacky beard is cool or wearing sandals. They have been hanging out with ex members of Wire and listening to Slayer. This makes them a far more exciting and sexy prospect of a musical adventure. They sing about hospitals and animals and hose pipe bans. Crazy kids. They will make you smile.

Yes, track one from CD single cat no VEL006CD will be played on the nation's (second) favourite radio station Radio 1 on Easter Monday (march 24th) morning, sometime between 2am and 3.30am.

As part of the National Student Radio Awards winners' show, Three Litre's "I Hate Christmas" has been chosen to be played by Lancaster University's Kenny Donohue who won Best Male DJ at 2007's award. Kenny has been consistently playing the song since Sid sent him a copy on its release in 2002 and it surely had to be one of the major contributing factors to his success.

If you can't listen on the night then I'm sure the BBC's Listen Again facility will be your friend.

CLUB VELOCITY FIFTH BIRTHDAY PARTY

Club Velocity 5th birthday party. Five years ago March 2003 at the wonderful Rising Sun Arts Centre on Silver Strreet, Reading Club Velocity was born with three truely great bands. That being The Vaults/The Snags/Yumiyumi. It was very hot and stupidly busy. Since then we brought Reading Bloc Party first (two shows at Silver Street September 2003 and March 2004) Helped nuture the very healthy (wake up if dont realise how great the Reading music scene is) local scene bu nuturing the likes of The Race, Pete and the Pirates, Six Nastion State, Heartwear Process et al. Very chuffed to have brought Glasvegas (again first to Reading) last August, they are the revolution. Club Velocity is not a cool gig, its an A&R gig. The Oakford Social club dont want us. Its fun. When it works, it really works. Its a punk/DIY wonderland. Will it exist in five years time? Seriously hope not!

They play live every other day. They have a huge hardcore/DIY heart. They have pain in their veins. Club Velocity helped their get their first radio airplay by the legendary radio disc jock that being Rodney Beingenheimer on the world famous KROQ in LA. This gig is a thank you for the past and for helping them out. Hello Wembley debut single is selling fast, we still have a few copies left. The band recently recently received 4 stars for the 'punk UK bible' that being Big Cheese. Pure Reason Revolution (currently featuring two members of The Sunset Sound) have announced a rare one off London show. Saturday April 12th at the Water Rats Theatre, London. THE NOYZE Lets get this straight The Noyze are a great,great band. A rael band for real people . No nonsense. No crap. A proper band. A must see live.  -  KICKS Same as above. Kicks are one of the best unsigned bands in the world. 2007 they were on the most sought after bands in the UK by the majors. The majors bottled it. Told them to go and record an album-then come back. Hilarous. That makes us want to kill the Wombats. Their first Club Velocity gig for nine months. You would be stupid to miss it. 

DIAMOND LINES The most improved band in town. They now can swagger with the best of them. Also they have now have a song under four minutes. Diamond geezers indeed.

JOEY ULTRA  Oh god are they still alive? Wasnt this a 5 minute art-IT wank fest? Apaprently not.At least the police can have a night off and not worry about the sex feind and lead singer of this experiment Binz. They strum-you cum?

We are sober on this New Years Day. We behaved ourselves last night (staying in is the new punk rock) and watched Seasick Steve on BBC 2. Finally release their debut classic (Oh yes it is) EP on January 21st in all good record shops/supermarkets. The band venture to Birmingham on Saturday January 5th. Then we are having another EP release party on Friday January 25th at the Rising Sun Arts Centre. The bands' song Lead Singer Syndrome (which features on the EP) was played on the December 27th episode of Hollyoakes. 2008 looks like being a year of chaos/madness/genius/failure for this now seven (!) piece band!
